And only 1 measly gram of fat. Can you believe it?
Best of all, with the help of your toaster oven, these mega-cookies crisp up in less than ONE minute! Prepackaged crepes, where have you been all my life?
Of course, it couldn't be easier to fancy up a crepe. Filling them with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows before their party in the toaster oven gives you smores crepes. Blueberries and whipped cream (skip the toaster oven!) is also yummy.
But, have you ever thought to make a savory crepe?
Broccoli and Cheese for Mees, Please!
LambAround's Hot Ham and Cheese Crepes
- 4 Frieda's French Style Crepes (available near the berries in most produce departments)(Ralph's if you're in Southern California, you lucky duck)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Garlic Cloves (diced)
- 1/4 C Onion (diced)
- 2 C Spinach
- 1/2 C Broccoli Crowns (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
- 1/4 C Water
- 8 Slices of Ham
- 4 Slices of Cheedar
- Heat olive oil in a large pan on mid-high heat. Add garlic and onion and cook until onion is translucent.
- Add spinach, broccoli, crushed red pepper, and water. Cover and let cook until water is gone, approximately 8 minutes.
- While the vegetables cook, prepare each crepe by layering 2 slices of ham topped with 1 slice of cheddar on each crepe. Go close to, but not touching or over, the edge of the crepes.
- Spoon the hot vegetable mixture evenly over each crepe.
- Roll each crepe and place, seam down, on a nonstick or greased pan. Bake at 300F for 5 minutes (another instance where a toaster oven is ideal!)
For something so simple, don't these look so fancy?
